You do have money, don't you kid?  (Yes, I gave him a quarter!)  Little Brian likes all the games!
This is my circa 1980 SEGA Double claw Space Crane!  This 490 pound antique came all the way from Canada!
This one has a spinning prize field, and it plays fun Carnival music.  (You can adjust the loudness)  Two people can play at the same time, but for now, the left claw doesn't want to open all the way when it's supposed to drop the prize.  It looks much happier when it's full of colorful toys, but I thought I'd try watches for a change of pace.
For 50 cents a play, (I haven't figured out how to make it go back to 25 cents like it originally did) your space ship lights up and flashes all different little lights.  You then fly as far as you want, in just one direction.  Didn't go far enough?  Keep pushing the button.  Now, you are hovering, just waiting for the perfect prize to come around!  See it?  Okay, push the other button that drops the claw.  Now, if your aim is good, your claw grabs a prize!  The claw works VERY good.  Too good! Just for fun, (yawn) here is the corner of the machine.  Like you care.  The prizes come out in little metal bins.  You can see one here.  Yes, that's my antique gum ball machine sitting next to it.  Currently filled with Mega Bites, a giant Sweet Tart sort of thing.  Mmmmm.

:O)

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Okay Kids.  Super Scooper number 1.  For just 25 cents...I'll wait while you check your pockets...you can try for a Bean Bean Bear, or any of the many other fun things in this machine. Get us out of here!  We've been in here since last Christmas!  Of course plenty of us bears have gone on to new homes.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Super Scooper number 2  Hard to see I guess.  This one used to have Hot Wheels, but I threw them in the one to the left <--------
Now it has Poke'mon packs, cassette tapes, and a few pieces of jewelry in it.
Note the green peanuts?  Someone help me on this one.  THe claw doesn't reach all the way to the floor of the play field, so I had to build it up.  Packing peanuts seemed like a good idea.  If you are real lucky, you could score some styrofoam!
Step right up!

And, Super Scooper number 3.  I think this claw goes all the way down.  I'm thinking of putting the other claw on it...a big yellow digger claw!  Then I'll fill it with candy.  You'd like that wouldn't you! Come on kids!  There's a hundred dollar bill in this one.  Okay, it's fake, but it's big!  There are watches, Eeyores smilies, and even a helicopter!

Ah, Vindicators!  A rather fun two person video game.  Yes, even you can drive a tank!  See how the controls work?  Each player has two controllers for steering your own tank.  I think you go around collecting jewels or fuel cells or something while blowing up enemy tanks or whatever.  All right!  So I've never played it!   Here is a screen shot.  Really, it is a fun game.  My kid wants it in her room!
25 cents.  Oh, and it has loud music and sounds!  Good game!

I think this is kind of self explanatory.  You put a quarter or 50 cents in and if I've filled it, out comes a card or two.  Here's the problem.  In order to get say a tattoo, (on the left) or a Poke'mon card, (on the right) I need to find more of a certain size cardboard folder, which doesn't seem to exist anymore.  So, once all the folders were gone, the machine couldn't dispense any more of those items.  Bummer.
But, have no fear.  For a measly 25 cents..."Why in my day, there wasn't anything measly about quarters!" You can get two hockey cards!  Yeah, I know you're ecstatic!  Got any suggestions?

Okay, here we arrive at my favorite.  I call it the Chicken, or Henny Penny.  Just put a quarter in, and Henny Penny will start spinning around and Bawk, bawk bawk baw, bawk bawk bawk baw, baawk!  And our comes your egg! What do you think she puts in those eggs?  Where does she get them?  Does she really lay them all?

Yes, she does, and she'd thank you to leave your shells!  Not a big profit maker, unless those little kids can part with the egg after they get their prize.  Plus, it's hard to get eggs after Easter!  Don't worry. I have a source or two.  I just don't want to buy 1000 at a time.

Would you believe I put a watch in one of these once?  Hey, they are mostly Tootsie Rolls.  You all like those, don't you?  There are some other fun things, but for the most part, the Tootsie Rolls are the easiest.  They are an AERR... Abundant, and easily renewable resource!

And what would any decent arcade be like without some snacks?  1.  The Wizard, spiral gum ball machine extraordinare.  I like it a lot.  One of the few things that probably paid for itself! 2.  No you're not seeing double.  This one be the Roadrunner.  Same thing though, although this baby arrived broken.  Still works fine And, here, being modeled by my little friend Brian, (what a cute kid!  A little dirty, but most cute.) is my antique gumball machine.  Yes, he almost tipped it over in his exuberance to be photographed.  Please someone, anyone!!!  I have so many of these megabites!  Please reach deep in your pockets, for the love of...I just would like to see a dent in my supply.  How many millenniums do you think these things will last?  The secret is in the high gloss confectionary coating!  No kidding!  They taste just as fresh as they did the century that they were made!

Well, that's about all for now.  I do have a few more games.  One called Rastan, a very collectable old He Man style game.  Hubba.  And another ancient collectable called Astro Blasters.  Some bad electricity in the building fried their little circuits.  Rastan has been fixed, and I have yet to hear about Astro Blasters. Also, in perpetual disrepair, is another He Man style game called Flash!  It's a great old pinball machine from long ago.  I guess I need to get some boards for it.  Maybe I'll stick pictures here someday.
So, now that you've visited my arcade, may you go home with lighter pockets, and an arm load of toys! CJ :O)
